1. Scope
This policy covers the PharmaNet platform, operated by [legal entity name]. It applies to pharmacies, their staff, and the data they enter. It does not cover the independent practices of other pharmacies you transact with.
2. Information we collect
- Account & pharmacy details: name, email, phone, licence number, address, city/region, and geolocation you provide.
- Staff accounts: names, emails, roles, and login credentials (passwords are stored only as salted hashes).
- Operational data: products, inventory batches and expiries, sales, listings, claims, referrals, and wallet/transaction records.
- Members you register and any patient reference you choose to enter (see 'Patient and member information' below).
- Usage and device data: log data, actions taken, and information stored in your browser (see 'Cookies and local storage').
3. How we use information
- To provide the platform: authentication, inventory and POS, the marketplace, requests, referrals, and payment coordination.
- To surface expiry, wastage, and restock insights, and to match needs with nearby stock.
- To verify pharmacies and maintain trust and safety across the network.
- To secure the service, prevent abuse, meet legal obligations, and support and improve the product.
4. How information is shared
- With other pharmacies on the network: when you list stock, respond to a request, or make/receive a claim or referral, relevant details (such as your pharmacy name, verification status, distance, listing details, and contact information) are shown to the counterparty.
- With service providers who host and operate the platform on our behalf, under appropriate obligations.
- When required by law, regulation, or lawful request, or to protect rights, safety, and the integrity of the platform.
- We do not sell personal information.
5. Patient and member information
You control any member or patient information you enter. Collect and enter only what you need, obtain any consent your local law requires, and avoid putting unnecessary personal or health details into free-text fields (for example, use a non-identifying reference on a patient referral). As between you and PharmaNet, you are responsible for the lawful handling of the member and patient data you input.
6. Cookies and local storage
PharmaNet stores a small amount of data in your browser to keep you signed in (a session token) and to remember preferences such as your light/dark theme. Clearing this data signs you out.
7. Security
We use technical and organisational measures to protect information, including hashed passwords, access scoped to your pharmacy, and role-based permissions for staff. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Retention
We retain information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service, comply with legal and record-keeping obligations (which for pharmaceutical transactions can be lengthy), resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.
9. Your rights and choices
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. You can update much of your pharmacy and staff information in the app; for other requests, contact us. Note that records tied to completed transactions may need to be retained to meet legal obligations.
10. Hosting and transfers
The platform and its data may be hosted and processed in [hosting region/country]. Where information is processed across borders, we take steps consistent with applicable law.
11. Children
PharmaNet is a tool for licensed pharmacies and is not directed to children.
12. Changes
We may update this policy and will revise the "last updated" date. Material changes will be communicated where appropriate.
